Integrating technology use
Founded in 1998, the Cambridge Institute of Technology (INTEC) is a research, advisory, accrediting, awarding and validating body. It works with individuals, institutions, public sector services and private sector organisations. With a background in education, it specialises in:
- developing innovative, market-leading self-evaluation systems
- carrying out research into workforce skill sets and confidence, related to important standards and the strategic requirements of employers
- helping to build relationships between public sector organisations
- providing summaries and analyses of key documents for hard-pressed professionals
- advising on occupational standards and funding mechanisms for related training
- consulting on the use of ICT in educational settings and other related organisations
- accrediting and certificating ICT and other workforce development programmes.
INTEC works very closely with its partners – the Pearson Publishing Group and the National Association of Professional Teaching Assistants (NAPTA) – frequently offering clients an integrated solution in conjunction with either or both of them.
INTEC particularly champions the integration of face-to-face guidance and support with the time- and cost-effective use of technology, especially online services.
