Accreditation
INTEC, working very closely with its founding company Pearson Information, has built an impressive reputation for certificating and accrediting:
- personal IT skills development programmes for students and members of staff
- courses for staff in using ICT as a tool for learning
- institutional achievements in terms of the development of staff in their professional use of ICT.
This work has a truly international flavour through support of the Net2Work initiative, extensive programmes in East Africa and a growing contribution in Southern Africa.
The emphasis is now beginning to shift towards wider workforce issues in children’s services, and particularly the Common Core of knowledge and skills required of all practitioners within the Every Child Matters agenda.
