Relationships
Government initiatives often involve schools, local authorities, local learning and skills councils, and local training providers (eg FE colleges). INTEC provides brokerage and facilitation services to these groups all over England and Wales, bringing together and easing contact between the relevant bodies. The aim is to help all achieve their objectives through combined action.
With the embedding of the Every Child Matters (ECM) agenda and the consequential increase in service integration, INTEC is now working extensively with agencies right across children’s services.
Through its growing understanding of relevant initiatives and the distinct demands placed on the various parties, coupled with an appreciation of, and sensitivity to, their different situations, the Institute has established an important role for itself in this field.
